About my Fundraiser
This summer I will be traveling with a team of wonderful Deaf and hearing folks to Santo Domingo School for the Deaf in the Dominican Republic. The Santo Domingo School for the Deaf has goals of improving the education of impoverished Dominican Republic youth. They teach American Sign Language (ASL) and with programs for early childhoold through young adulthood, they empower at-risk children and youth to create better futures.

Since these students have no hearing or speech, many are considered cursed in their country.  We hope to show them lots of love and that they are so precious in God's eyes.  Believe it or not, I'm part of the very first Deaf team who has ever visited this school and we are so excited to have these children see that they can have hope!

We will be there to serve in whatever capacity God leads us.  Along with teachers and staff, we will be able to enjoy time with the students.  Several of us are sponsoring some of the Deaf children and it is our desire to meet them face-to-face.  All of us are thrilled that we will be able to build everlasting relationships.

I would love for you to partner with me.  Your support will allow me take a little bit of "you" along when I go in August.  From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much!
