Grand Savann Christian School Construction

Help complete the Grand Savann School in Haiti

In many parts of the world, having an education is the difference between struggling to live day by day, and impacting a community and a nation for generations.

This rings true in Haiti more so than most nations.  Limited access to quality education combined with poor health and income has earned Haiti a place as the lowest developed nation in the Western Hemisphere.

Together, we can help transform this situation for children in one of the most challenged communities in Haiti.  Léogâne was the epicenter of the 2010 earthquake that rocked the nation and is the home of Grand Savann Christian School.

Grand Savann is making a difference in the lives of the children in this impoverished community.  The 150 kids currently meeting in the repaired, but cramped church building are loved by dedicated teachers who work to change the kids’ lives and encourage their community.

With your help, we are working to raise the final $83,090 necessary to build a permanent Grand Savann Christian School building.  We’re thrilled about this new school building because it will be able to impact the community by providing:
  • A learning environment for hundreds of children in the community
  • Micro-enterprise opportunity through an onsite bakery
  • Clean water to the community, through locally made water filters
  • Opportunities for local construction workers to learn lower cost and high quality building techniques
  • A modular building that can grow with the community’s needs, including additional classrooms or multipurpose areas
Your involvement in the construction of Grand Savann Christian School can help transform this community and make the difference between a child struggling to live day by day or a child impacting their community and a nation for generations to come.
